Our Construction Client is seeking a Building Buyer based in Centurion. The role is office based, Monday – Friday 07 :

Remuneration: Market Related. Benefits: Medical aid + dependent, provident fund, risk cover.

Qualifications
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Buyer in the Building Construction industry (not civil) and at least 5 years experience in construction procurement
  • National Diploma in Supply Chain Management
  • Computer literacy
  • Build Smart experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reporting Structure: Procurement Manager
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement costs by securing competitive pricing within project allowables.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
  • Place and follow up on orders to ensure materials are delivered on time.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to optimize commercial outcomes.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost‑saving opportunities.
