Job summary

eTV invites applications for a Quality Assurance role responsible for viewing broadcast material and ensuring it meets technical standards across the network. You will review audio/video quality in real time and guarantee accurate loading of timings into the Broadcast Management System.

The role requires a National Senior Certificate and a Diploma in Video Editing, both essential, with the incumbent ensuring ingested material passes QA checks and aligns with internal and external channel

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) – Essential.
• Diploma in Video Editing (NQF Level 6) – Essential.

Responsibilities

• Analysing audio and video quality of programmes in real time.
• Ensuring that the technical requirements and/or quality of all media operations material is in line with the Internal and External broadcasting specifications.
• Ensuring that all timings and other relevant information are correctly loaded on the Media and Broadcasting Management systems
• Ensuring that all material required for broadcasts are ingested and a quality assurance review is performed on ingested material as per the schedule.
• Ensuring the correct material is captured and conforms to broadcast standards
• Evaluating images and processes through PSE (Photosensitive Epilepsy) test, when required

Education

National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) – Essential

Diploma in Video Editing (NQF Level 6) – Essential
