Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Qualified Childminder and Play Facilitator for a reputable childcare center in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role focuses on providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment with play-based learning to support developmental milestones.

Your responsibilities include supervising children aged 6 months to 4 years, planning age-appropriate activities, and maintaining strong communication with parents. A passion for early childhood development and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Patience and empathy when working with young children are required.
• Willingness to undergo further training as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children aged 6 months to 4 years in a group setting.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based learning activities.
• Foster a safe, hygienic indoor and outdoor play environment.
• Assist children with daily routines, including feeding, napping, and toileting.
• Observe and record children’s progress and report concerns to the center manager.
• Maintain communication with parents regarding development and well-being.
• Follow safety policies and procedures consistently.
• Manage classroom materials and tidiness.
• Encourage social interaction and emotional development.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
