Overall Responsibility
To lead a shift-based team in the execution of the Brewing plan in a safe manner complying to the Quality, cost & delivery standards of the Brewery.
Focus Area 1
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment
- Comply to SHP Safety, health & environment standards
- Drive safety observation process and close gaps
- Support SHE pillar roll out
- Drive 5S Pillar roll out in designated area
Focus Area 2
- Optimise shift performance
- Apply Fundamental / Situational Knowledge of Brewing Equipment and Processes
- Manage shift in accordance with Manufacturing excellence program using the required tools
- Manage the shift team to interpret & execute the brewing & beer provision plan within cost targets
- Actively support NCR process
- Ensure accurate shift end reporting & handover to next shift
- Actively support planned maintenance window process
- Manage waste streams during shift including Utility usage
Focus Area 3
Leadership, People Management and Development
- Support and entrench the company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance
- Inspire and motivate the broader SHP team (not just your direct reports) to deliver on goals and maximize individual and the overall company performance
- Perform routine administration of shift & employees
- Support TNA process and Training plan implementation
- Ensure open communication with Shift and management
Focus Area 4
Implement Manufacturing excellence Pillars :
- Fully understand the Manufacturing excellence strategy
Support the ME roll out plan in Packaging
- Coach shift staff and call upon Pillar champions and experts to drive each Pillar of ME into the shift
- Assist in conducting Pillar self-assessments of the ME program and close gaps
Focus Area 5
- Drive the use of Manufacturing excellence Pillar tools
- Facilitate quality Whywhy problem solving on shift
- Ensure Shift handovers as per ME standard
- Drive Autonomous maintenance processes in the shift
- Drive Quality @ source and Operator Workstation concept in the shift
Requirements of the Role
- Minimum of 3 years experience within a production environment
- Demonstrate a strong leadership potential
- Tertiary Qualification or Diploma in Engineering or Microbiology
- Flexibility to work weekends and nightshift as scheduled
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
