An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate Brand Manager to join the dynamic marketing team of a global premium leader. This role offers the chance to work on a category-leading product portfolio with strong international equity, and to contribute to both short-term results and long-term brand strategy in the South African market.
Position Purpose :
This role is responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that drive sustainable sales growth and profitability. You will translate global brand positioning into impactful local market strategies, lead cross-functional initiatives, and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to bring your vision to life in trade, communication, and innovation.
Brand Strategy & Execution
Lead 3+ year brand planning and align local strategy with global guidelines.
Build and execute annual marketing and A&P plans that support brand equity and sales targets.
Own the full marketing calendar and campaign execution in partnership with agencies and commercial teams.
Conduct trade visits and consumer research to stay close to shopper behaviour and insights.
Commercial and P&L Management
Manage SKU optimisation, pricing strategy, and pack development for profitability.
Collaborate with Trade Marketing, Key Accounts, and Controlling teams to convert brand strategy into commercial wins.
Present brand strategies and new initiatives to senior management and global stakeholders.
Work cross-functionally across departments including Sales, Supply Chain, , and Global Marketing.
Support team learning and actively contribute to a high-performance, idea-driven culture.
Who We’re Looking For :
Completed Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
3–5 years' experience in brand marketing within a leading FMCG company.
Strategic thinker with strong project management, organisational and communication skills.
Passionate about consumer trends and insight-led brand development.
Confident, driven and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical ability and commercial acumen.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with tools like IRI or Nielsen .
