Job description

This is an opportunity to join the marketing team of a leading pet care retail company where you will play a key role in managing and coordinating Private Label brands.

As the key representative of the brand you will be involved in various marketing-related activities from assessing and driving sales and brand standards, to managing the brand’s attendance at key events, driving key initiatives and projects, building relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, visiting stores around the country, ensuring a digital presence across social media and accurate representation across online platforms.

This position requires a candidate with strong sales, planning, coordinating, management, communication and administrative skills.

You would be joining a highly productive team with very high standards and a great deal of passion and energy for the work that they do. You will report to the Marketing Manager but liaise with various individuals and departments in the company, as well as external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Events
  • Coordinate and set up events at store.
  • Coordinate and set up events at shopping centres.
  • Manage the brands participation at other events.
  • Attend some store events and shopping centre events.
  • Coordination includes preparing resources, branding and marketing material and liaising with event organisers.
  • Ensure brand standards are adhered to at every event.
  • Promote the brand and products at these events
Stakeholder relationships
  • Build and manage relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external.
  • External stakeholders include animal welfare organizations, breeders, vets, animal nutritionists etc.
  • Ensure in-store advisers are trained on private label products and co-ordinate training with the Company training department and carry out training as required.
Marketing Coordination
  • Ensure sufficient marketing activity is taking place for the brand/s, across social media, websites, product promotion, and other.
  • Drive marketing activities and provide support to the various teams involved in the process.
  • Fulfill an in-store promoter role interacting with team and customers in store, representing the brand.
  • Manage product updates to various private label websites to ensure the brands are accurately represented.
Sales
  • Drive sales of the private label products in Company stores
  • Responsible for establishing new sales channels for private label brands and growing sales at third party partners and stockists.
  • Monitor and assess sales of the brand across stores, drilling down into all products listed under the brand.
  • Assess where poor performance is coming from and help formulate a plan of action to drive sales
Customer Service
  • Assist with customer queries regarding the brands products.
  • Assist customers via email and telephone
