Job description
About Us

Step into the wild world of OneDayOnly – South Africa's OG daily deals hub. We're the pioneers of cool discounts, hitting you for just one day because, well, why overcomplicate things? We've got the big names, top suppliers, and a dash of our secret sauce to make you feel like a BIG DEAL. Not to brag, but we have over a million potential savvy shoppers getting our daily dose every 24 hours. We're not fussy – if the price is right and the quality checks out, we're selling it. That's what makes us the go-to for both the smart buyer and the eager seller. Toss in the urgency of our deals, and boom, success happens quicker than you can blink. So, jump in, where FOMO meets killer deals, and let's turn every day into a retail party.

About You

You are the ultimate multitasker who keeps the OneDayOnly brand looking sharp, sounding right, and running like a well-oiled creative machine. Equal parts brand guardian, content perfectionist, and professional problem-solver, you are the final checkpoint between creative chaos and polished perfection. From proofreading promos and aligning social strategies to managing big-name partnerships and making sure every T&C is spot on, you've got it covered. You thrive on collaboration, love a good checklist, and somehow make coordinating campaigns, vouchers, and influencer gifts look effortless. Basically, if it's clever, consistent, and oozing ODO personality – you're the secret ingredient behind it.

Responsibilities
  • Brand Policing: Together with the Brand Manager act as the final quality control checkpoint for all daily scheduled promotional content, ensuring strict adherence to the OneDayOnly visual and copy brand guidelines.
  • Content Proofing: Meticulously proofread all customer-facing communications (campaign collateral, email newsletters, social posts, etc.) to eliminate errors and guarantee the ODO tone of voice is accurately maintained.
  • Social Media Strategy Alignment: Oversee the content and campaign strategy developed by the Social Media Manager, meticulously ensuring it aligns with the overarching brand strategy.
  • Asset Briefing and Management: Brief in brand initiatives to the creative department and see through its execution to be on brand.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise daily with the sales, Creative, and E-commerce teams to track the status of daily deal content and ensure timely execution of campaigns.
  • Terms & Conditions Management: Draft, coordinate sign off, and ensure the accurate display of all promotional and competition Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) across the website, app, and campaign landing pages.
  • Sales and Service Liaison: Actively collaborate with our sales and customer service teams to serve as a crucial liaison, facilitating seamless communication about upcoming campaigns and identifying any marketing pain points that require brand attention.
  • Partnership Logistics: Assist the Manager with the execution of strategic brand partnerships and collaborations, including tracking deliverables, managing timelines, collating internal resources and delivering reports.
  • Voucher Tracking & Management: Maintain operational efficiency by meticulously tracking all voucher redemptions from various partners and assisting in the acquisition and distribution of voucher codes to payment partners as needed.
  • Campaign Development Support: Actively participate in campaign brainstorming sessions, offering creative insights and support.
  • Contribute to brand building through content creation tailored for specific campaign life stages.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Play a pivotal role in monthly campaign reporting by diligently compiling essential statistics, gathering collateral materials, and assisting the Manager in generating comprehensive ROI reports for partners.
  • Administrative Support: Manage scheduling, document organisation, and preparation of presentation decks for internal strategy meetings and external partner pitches.
  • Gifting & Events: Coordinate logistics for brand-related events, media drop-offs, and influencer / partner gifting initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an Advertising Agency, Brand, Marketing, or Project Coordination role, preferably within e-commerce, media, or retail.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to catch tiny errors in a high-volume, quick-turnaround environment.
  • Ability to compile reports and communicate campaign results.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, capable of prioritising multiple conflicting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders and external partners (including customer service).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace, and experience with basic Project Management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana).
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) with a specific focus on Marketing or Commerce.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and basic digital asset tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, basic Photoshop / Illustrator skills).
  • Appreciation for the OneDayOnly brand and a sharp, often irreverent, sense of humour.
  • Good understanding of branding, marketing strategy, analytics, and performance measurement.
