Responsible for the supervision of the fleet and all other secondary roles which flow from this function.
Ensures the on-time delivery of product to/from the distribution center.
Ensure that fleet is adequate for operations and fully maintained
Ensure effective maintenance of fleet and manage schedules vehicle services
Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
Must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of the work area and maintain all company standards.
Maintain daily meetings with staff. Meetings are focused on KPI management and other operational feedback for MR and Last mile deliveries
Works closely with management to identify and resolve all issues and ensure quality service to our customers
Ensures all drivers follow company procedures and apply discipline when and if necessary.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager
It is required of you to work until your daily responsibilities are completed, which might result in you working longer than normally.
Ensure Drivers are available for last mile deliveries daily, by working closely with the labour brokers with driver and assistant requirements.
Compete accident and incident reports timeously and submit to respective parties
Ensure that fleet costs are clearly recorded and reported to Branch Manager
Manage daily staff and overtime efficiently to ensure labor cost is controlled
Extracts data and generates reports which will assist in performance tracking and decision making.
Ensures all CODs are cashed up and reconciled daily.
All administrative documentation is labelled and filed as per procedures.
All daily, weekly and monthly reports/ meeting minutes are up to date
KPI reports sent out timeously daily and are posted on notice boards
Trains and supervise Driver Admins and Drivers to carry out the functions under their control.
Uploads all new drivers for verifications.
Oversees and arranges staff transport.
Ensure that all staff are at work and attendance is 100%. All absent staff to have suitable corrective action to be taken consistently
Measure and manage staff through formal staff appraisals, development, coaching and disciplinary procedures
Effective leadership and direction for the team through involvement and communication to deliver on the relevant key business drivers
Ensure 5S housekeeping standards are implemented and maintained
Implement and maintain health and safety standards in you appointment as Fire Fighter
Ensure the team complies to COVID19 protocols
