POSITION

Branch Manager- Material handling

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Management of :
  • New unit sales
  • Used / Refurbished unit sales
  • Rental fleet
  • Spare parts
  • Product support
  • Submit annual sales budgets for the Inland branches for approval by the Management Board and take accountability for achievement of same.
  • Ensure that all relevant business units are appropriately staffed and that staff is professionally trained, managed and motivated.
  • Conduct regular formal as well as informal staff appraisals and provide feedback to the Management Board and the HR function.
  • Create a positive working environment by communicating company strategies and objectives and ensure that these are understood and met.
  • Where necessary identify appropriate experienced companies that may be appointed as dealers.
  • Ensure that the brand is marketed and promoted throughout the region via digital marketing platforms, customer days, golf days and participation in trade shows.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, in particular those considered key accounts.
  • Liaise closely with all support functions to ensure effective and efficient running of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A period of 15 to 20 years’ experience in the forklift industry is an advantage.
  • A proven track record of managing and motivating successful sales or commercial teams either in the forklift or a competitive industry.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and goal orientated.
  • Ability to meet targets and deadlines.
  • A positive outlook and ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
