Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited is seeking a Branch Advisor for the POP network. You will provide compliant, professional financial advice, walk-in customers through banking options, and build ongoing client relationships in a high-volume branch environment.

You will focus on understanding client needs, offering suitable solutions, and maintaining records while adhering to FAIS, FICA, and TCF standards, in alignment with FirstRand governance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
  • Preferred qualification: NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service, or related fields recognized by FAIS.
  • 1–3 years of experience in customer-facing environments, service delivery, or client support within financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage long-term client relationships to support retention and growth.
  • Provide a positive customer experience by being helpful and sensitive to customer transactional needs.
  • Educate customers on the correct Banking platform aligned with their needs.
  • Educate customers on FAIS requirements and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
  • Achieve branch sales and service targets and maintain accurate client records.

The role focuses on understanding client financial needs, offering appropriate product solutions, and ensuring ongoing client relationship management in line with FAIS, FICA legislation and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles and FNB governance. Qualification & Experience Requirement
