Job summary

A fast-food restaurant in Durban is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in finance or accounting, a minimum of 3 years of experience, and skills in preparing management accounts. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, conducting inventory valuations, and supporting audit processes. Experience with Sage or Pastel Evolution is essential. Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Finance experience in the FMCG, Fast Food or Retail sectors preferable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and interpreting financial reports.
• Producing management accounts from trial balance to income statement.
• Reviewing accounts payable and receivable records.
• Conducting inventory valuation and verifying count sheetspiling VAT schedules and ensuring tax compliance.
• Supporting audit processes and finalizing financial statements.
• Managing budgets and performing variance analysis.
• Implementing internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
