Job summary

A trendy Cape Town restaurant is seeking a Bookkeeper & Office Administrator with at least 4 years of accounting experience. The ideal candidate should have strong bookkeeping skills and knowledge of hospitality, along with proficiency in Pastel, Xero, or similar software. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, managing invoices, and supporting payroll processes in a vibrant work environment.

Qualifications

  • 4 years’ experience in accounting or admin (hospitality/retail preferred).
  • Excellent knowledge of POS systems, VAT, and PAYE compliance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile daily cash-ups.
  • Manage suppliers and supplier invoices, petty cash, and payments.
  • Generate reports and monthly management accounts.
