Job Specification: Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks such as recording invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain precise and detailed general ledger records and conduct reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier statements, and debtors' accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reports.
- Support the preparation of management reports and financial statements, providing valuable insights and analysis.
- Liaise with auditors and external accountants when necessary to ensure compliance with financial and company policies.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or junior accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Strong Excel and computer skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this role.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
