Bookkeeper / Company Secretary required in Port Elizabeth.
Requirements:
- Matric with at least 5 years’ experience in similar position; or a tertiary diploma or degree relevant to the field and 2 to 3 years work experience
- A good team player
- Good communication skills
- Presentable appearance
- Organisational skills and attention to detail
- Computer proficient with good typing skills
- Time management skills as there are a lot of small tasks to attend to with high priority in between the normal day to day work
- The candidate should have own transport or the ability to get to work without relying on public transport
Experience and skills:
- Pastel Partner accounting (all aspects of processing and reconciliations)
- Pastel Payroll
- Sage Online Accounting and payroll
- Payroll:
- Weekly, fortnightly and monthly processing
- EMP201 submissions
- EMP501 submissions biannually
- UI 19 Submissions
- Reconciliation of payroll control accounts in accounting package
- Compensation fund returns
- CIPC site navigation:
- Beneficial ownership submissions
- Annual return submissions
- Registration of new companies
- Changes to existing companies (members, directors, shareholders, addresses etc)
- Understanding of different company structures
- E-filing:
- Setup of profile
- Transferring tax types
- Submission of returns for VAT and PAYE
- Bookkeeping skills:
- Accounts to trial balance
- Reconciliations of vat, customers, suppliers, bank accounts and control accounts
- Management reports
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
Salary: R15 000 to R20 000 per month commensurate with qualification and experience.
