About Our Client

Our client is a global wealth management and foreign exchange firm with offices in Johannesburg, Mauritius, and the UK.

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone with bookkeeping or financial administration experience, preferably within wealth management, financial services, or foreign exchange.

You’ll support the company accountant with the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring all records are accurate, compliant, and up to date.

While this is not an accounting role, a strong grasp of reconciliations, commissions, and financial record-keeping is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and ledgers
  • Reconcile bank accounts, client accounts, and internal financial records
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare and process commission statements for referrers and staff
  • Assist with month-end and year-end reconciliations and reports
  • Support management with financial reporting and ad-hoc requests
  • Ensure all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant
  • Provide general accounting and administrative support to the senior accounting team
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years’ bookkeeping or financial administration experience
  • Background in Wealth Management, Financial Services, or Forex (advantageous)
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or similar) and Excel
  • Experience using Commspace software (advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations and transaction processing
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A positive, proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and within a team
