We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Heidelberg. The ideal candidate will be fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans, with strong accounting skills and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles. This is a mid-level role suited to someone who can work independently and manage day-to-day financial tasks with precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Process accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting
  • Handle VAT submissions and statutory compliance
  • Support payroll processing and related reconciliations
  • Liaise with external auditors and financial institutions as needed
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality across all financial systems
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Relevant qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance
  • Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, Xero) and Excel
