We have a position available for a Bookkeeper.
The Bookkeeper will manage the financial profile of the business and must have experience managing a group of intercompanies and financial clerks.Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Transaction Recording : Accuratelyrecord all financial transactions, including debits and credits, into thegeneral ledger and accounting software.
- AccountsPayable : Managesupplier invoices, process payments, and track company expenses to ensuretimely and accurate payment.
- AccountsReceivable : Generateand send invoices to clients, track payments, and follow up on outstandinginvoices.
- BankReconciliations : Reconcilebank statements with financial records to ensure accuracy and identify anydiscrepancies.
- PayrollManagement : Calculateand process employee salaries and manage payroll deductions.
- TaxCompliance : Prepare andsubmit tax returns, including Value Added Tax (VAT) returns, Provisional Tax,EMP and EMP, in accordance with South African regulations.
- FinancialReporting : Generatefinancial statements, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, andcash flow statements, budgets for management
- Software : Pastel,SimplePay, Outlook, Microsoft Office, efiling, Easyfile.
- Liaisingwith Accountants / Auditors : Workclosely with Accountants / Auditors to reconcile accounts, identify errors, andassist with year-end audits.
- EnsuringCompliance : Stayinformed about local financial laws and regulations to ensure the businessremains compliant.
- Administrative Support : Provideadministrative support, such as managing office clerks and supplies andliaising with service providers, as needed.Essential Skills
