Key Responsibilities
- Processing of daily, monthly, and annual accounting transactions
- Capturing and reconciling bank accounts, debtors, and creditors
- Bookkeeping through to trial balance
- Preparation of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns
- Payroll processing (experience with EMP reconciliations and generating IRP5 certificates is a plus)
- Maintaining accurate accounting records and filing systems
- Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting
- Liaising with clients in a professional and efficient manner
- General bookkeeping and administrative support as required
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in accounting / finance or relevant bookkeeping certificate (advantageous)
- Minimum of 2–3 years bookkeeping experience
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Own transport and valid driver's licence – might be required to travel to clients occasionally
- Willingness to work extended hours if deadlines require
