We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our growing accounting team.

This role is ideal for someone who has hands‑on experience using Xero and enjoys working with numbers, processes, and data accuracy in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process daily financial transactions accurately using Xero, including sales, purchases, expenses, and bank entries.

Maintain up-to-date ledgers and ensure data integrity within the Xero system.

Perform bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations.

Process supplier invoices, match payments, and allocate receipts.

Capture and code expenses through Dext or similar tools.

Assist in preparing and submitting VAT workings for review.

Support accountants with month‑end processes such as accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet schedules.

Maintain organized digital filing systems for all accounting documents.

Liaise with clients and suppliers to resolve transaction queries.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting processing experience.

Proficiency in Xero (essential) and understanding of its reporting and reconciliation features.

Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.

Experience using Dext, Hubdoc, or similar data capture tools.

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Preferred (Not Essential)

Experience working within an accounting practice or multi‑client environment.

Exposure to UK VAT, payroll, or financial statement preparation.

Familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, or other accounting systems.
