Position : Bookkeeper – Brits (3-Month Contract, Potential for Permanent)

Salary : R13,500 – R15,500 per month

Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 07 : 30 – 16 : 00

Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of permanent employment. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Position Info – Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or Pastel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Experience with reconciliations, tax submissions, and payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of HR support processes is advantageous.
  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and other accounts.
  • Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) in a timely manner.
  • Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment runs.
  • Maintain organized records of financial documents and filing systems.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with payroll processing and statutory submissions.
  • Support accountants during audits and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
