Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging seeks a Boilermaker Apprentice to gain hands-on experience fabricating, assembling and installing boilers, tanks and heavy metal structures. You will learn welding, cutting, shaping and fitting under the guidance of skilled boilermakers.

This structured apprenticeship provides full technical training, a trade qualification and mentorship, with opportunities for progression into skilled boiler fabrication roles within the company.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with passes in Mathematics and Technical Drawing.
• Interest in metal fabrication and boilermaking.
• Ability to work with heavy materials and in workshop conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified boilermakers in fabricating and assembling metal structures.
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for metalwork.
• Operate grinders, drills and cutting equipment safely.
• Practice welding techniques as required for fabrication tasks.
• Participate in installation and fitting of fabricated components.
• Maintain workshop tools and keep a clean, safe working environment.
