Job description

We are seeking a well-groomed, professional, and confident individual with a background in health sciences, personal training, or the wellness industry. The successful candidate will conduct BWA assessments for hospital inpatients and outpatients, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, accuracy, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform BWA (Body Water Analysis) assessments using multi-frequency bioimpedance devices in hospital wards, ICUs, and outpatient areas.
  • Ensure proper setup, calibration, and hygiene protocols of the equipment.
  • Explain results clearly and professionally to patients and clinicians, maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate appointments and workflow with the clinical dietitians at the company.
  • Maintain accurate records and data logs for each assessment.
  • Represent the companies brand with a high level of professionalism and integrity in hospital settings.
  • Provide feedback to management on patient and doctor engagement opportunities.
  • Ensure equipment and consumables are kept in excellent working order and replenished as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Health Sciences, Human Physiology, Exercise Science, Personal Training, or related field.
  • Prior experience in body composition analysis, fitness assessments, or clinical measurements is advantageous.
  • Well-presented and articulate, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (essential).
  • Able to travel between hospitals in Pietermaritzburg and Durban.
  • Comfortable working in a clinical environment and interacting with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
