Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Blockchain Network Administrator to manage and maintain our blockchain infrastructure in Upington. This hybrid role focuses on ensuring performance, security, and reliability of blockchain nodes and networks.

You will install, monitor, and upgrade nodes, troubleshoot issues, manage access controls, and stay ahead of protocol developments to support our growing operations in the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Network Administrator with blockchain networks.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and security practices.
• Experience setting up and managing blockchain nodes (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Hyperledger).

This hybrid role involves ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our blockchain nodes and networks. You will be responsible for network setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing upgrades to support our growing operations in the Northern Cape. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain blockchain nodes and associated network infrastructure.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or System Administrator, with specific experience in blockchain networks.

• Experience with setting up and managing nodes for various blockchain platforms (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, Hyperledger).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and security best practices for distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are a plus.
