Placements24 is seeking a Blockchain Data Scientist in Queenstown (Eastern Cape) for a hybrid role focusing on extracting and interpreting large blockchain datasets to drive business strategy and optimize operations in crypto spaces.

You will build ML models, analyze on-chain data, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver actionable insights and scalable analytics infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist with blockchain data.
• Proficiency in Python or R and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Expertise in SQL and experience with various database technologies.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, ML algorithms, and data visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies, cryptocurrencies, and on-chain data analysis is essential.
• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
