We are located in Johannesburg (Head Office) and Cape Town and are looking to add the skills of a dynamic BIM specialist and technology consultant to join our team.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic BIM Specialist & Technology Consultant, serving the Architectural and Design Industries, to join our Johannesburg (head office) team.

This role holds responsibility for BIM adoption by customers, designing and delivering impactful service solutions, and supporting clients through their digital project delivery journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis of the client's operations to create a demonstration experience that is customised to the stated business needs, objectives, and questions from the customer representatives
• Provide software implementation services and leadership to drive the successful adoption of Autodesk product solutions and BIM-based workflows
• Develop BIM content, and manage BIM implementations
• Consult and create BIM related documents for project and organisations
• Implementation of common data environments and digital coordination practices
• Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations, including hosting webinars
• Provide customised beginner to advanced-level software training
• Build client relationships through ongoing engagement and technical support
• Collaborate with the sales team on pipeline engagement and proposal development (pre and post sales)

Achieve monthly service delivery targets

This role requires a balance of technical expertise, client-facing communication, and proactive learning to support Baker Baynes' mission of enabling Digital transformation through Autodesk technologies

Qualifications

• Architectural Diploma or Degree
• Minimum 7 years of working experience in Architecture or the built environment

Product knowledge and working experience with Autodesk Revit

• Knowledge of BIM workflows, Model Coordination and multi-discipline collaboration
• Product knowledge of software such as Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Twinmotion

Knowledge of BIM and Digital Project Delivery

• Experience with delivering projects from design to construction, through to the project handover
