We areseeking a skilled and experienced BIM Coordinator to join our dynamicarchitectural practice. As a BIM Coordinator, your primary responsibility is toensure that all members of the project team are following the BIM ExecutionPlan and dhk BIM Best Practices. This includes making sure that everyone isusing the right software, exchanging data regularly, and adhering to the modelstandards set forth in the plan. Additionally, you must be able to effectivelycommunicate with all team members to keep everyone on track.
What You’llDo
Standards
- Be capableof implementing ISO19650 standards
- Manage the creation and maintenance of BIMmodels on various projects
- Implement BIM processes throughout the projectlifecycle
- Coordinate with project teams to ensuresuccessful BIM integration
- Update, develop and implement BIM standards,procedures and guidelines along with the BIM Manager
- Provide support for plotting and electronicfile submissions
- Assist in the automation of routines in BIM tosupport standards and productivity
- Assist in developing and enforcing BIMdocumentation and workflow processes and standards with the BIM Manager
- Train, mentor and oversee staff on BIM bestpractices with the BIM Manager
- Collaborate with clients and contractors toensure successful BIM implementation
- Stay up to date with industry trends and newtechnologies related to BIM
- Manage software products including but notlimited to incorporating new version releases and customisation of the products with the BIMManager and IT Support
Support
- Install and support related BIM software alongwith the BIM Manager and IT Support
- Liaise with Autodesk where necessary
- Liaise with software developer support staffwhere necessary
Training
- Assist the BIM Manager with providing Revittraining internally to all staff as deemed necessary
- Assist the BIM Manager in providing technicalorientation& BIM induction for all new staff
- Maintain high-level competency through ongoingtraining
- Attend conferences, seminars and workshops forBIM and disseminate information as required in conjunction with the BIM Manager
Project Interface
- Assist on project work – modelling anddetailing
- Assist project teams on BIM project setup
- Create Revit families in response to projectneed
- Manage & Capture Asset Data (COBie,Uniclass and Omniclass)
- Help resolve various BIM needs in conjunctionwith the BIM Manager
- Implementand maintain the BIM Execution Plan
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture,Engineering, or related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in BIMCoordination, with a minimum of 5 years of experience inArchitecture
- Strong knowledge of BIM software (e.g., Revit,Glassworks etc)
- Experience with project collaboration tools(e.g., ACC/Design Collaboration)
- Excellent communication, organisational andproblem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with projectteams and clients
- Understanding of building construction anddocumentation processes
