You Bring

What You’ll Do For The Brand
- Branch Growth
- Drive business results by creating an open dialog with your guests to educate them on all your branch products.
- Create a database of information on your large betting guests.
- Relationship building with the VIP guest will avoid masking bets at different terminals.
- Educate team members on confirmation limits and the rules of confirming with BSC or Events Office before laying a bet.
- Educate guests making bets on the confirmation limits.
- Ensure team members are aware they need to inform Team leader/Betting manager of pressure horse guests, looking to back early.
- Monitor the racing book to avoid laying bets which are not confirmed.
- Identify your VIP guests and what bets they are taking even if it is a number of smaller bets to avoid FICA limits.
- Ensure team members are to inform the Team leader/Betting manager when guests are laying large bets and in turn to inform the BSC/ Events offices.
- Directly address all guests’ queries and find best resolution.
- Branch Administration
- Be aware of all the different races to take place on a daily basis.
- Conduct floor walk and complete the branch checklist.
- Ensure team members have all betting boards, wall charts memos, card changes, results, scratchings and fixtures must be filled timeously throughout the day.
- Manager will be responsible to ensure all betting, pay-outs, deposits and withdrawals are accurately processed.
- Be knowledgeable on all game rules, odd and pay-outs.
- Ensure all equipment is in functional order (TV, correct channels on displayed, blowers and terminals).
- Ensure daily banking recons/ schedules are submitted to the Branch Manager.
- Cost Administration
- Ensure guest comply with FICA requirement when process payments over the branch limits, by providing their relevant documents (certified I.D copy, proof of residence, bank statement not older than 3 months).
- Ensure to manage all cancelled ticket and pending ticket pay out procedures.
- The correct process must be followed with lost ticket claims.
- Ensure the ticket no is received from Hipline when processing the claims.
- Ensure the ticket number is received from the Helpline when processing the claim.
- Record the guest’s details and I.D number to validate payment after 90 days.
- Branch Reporting
- Ensure that daily newsflashes provide a high-level overview of the operations for the day.
- Ensure weekly/monthly minutes are submitted to the Branch/Area Manager with action plans for any outstanding unresolved issues.
- Report all terminations to the Human Resource department to ensure the betting gambling license are cancelled by compliance department.
- Ensure all cash shortages are declared and dealt with immediately and investigated to identify the course of the shortage.
- Where applicable the recovery process to follow where team member will sign an Acknowledgement of Debit form which must be sent to payroll for processing.
- Security Management
- Be aware of your surroundings when opening and closing the branch.
- Ensure all security factors are adhered to when banking is conducted.
- Be aware where all panic buttons are placed within your branch.
- Ensure all cameras inside and outside the branch are all in working order.
- The cashing up process must be conducted with the branch doors closed with security monitoring the area.
- Branch Appearance
- Ensure that the branch is always neat and tidy according to Hollywood standards.

- Ensure that that facilities are well maintained and in good working condition.
- Comply with all procedures to prevent losses to the organisation, advising your branch manager /area manager/ regional manager promptly of any problems/malfunction with the terminals equipment/resources (e.g. TV display of results, Off-line).
- Compliance
- Compliance and adherence to company\'s internal control policy.
- Ensure compliance with company, legislative and legal requirements
- More specifically, ensure compliance with Gambling Board requirements.
- Compliance to the code of ethics and escalate fraudulent activities.
- Ensure that there is a registered FICA officer on site at all times during operating hours and compliance posters are displayed.
- Ensure a manager with a license must always be on duty before a shift begins to ensure guest service is provided to guests.
- Ensure all team members without a valid clerk / manager’s license from the Gambling Board do not take any bets on the terminals.
- Ensure all team members are dressed in their correct Hollywood uniform when on duty.
- Credit bets are not allowed to be taken by any team member/manager.
- Team members/manager on duty are not allowed to take bets within Hollywood uniform.
- Team members/manager are allowed to take bets as guest but not in Hollywood uniform.
- Team members are not allowed to be behind the terminal counters when off duty.
- Team members/manager on duty are not allowed to utilize the Limited pay-out machine.
- Communication
- Ensure all operational communication within the branch is circulated to all team members.
- Ensure team members are aware of key business campaigns, business updates and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure that the correct line of communication is followed at all times and that timeous feedback is provided to support office when information is requested.
- People Management
- Manage branch team members in terms of HR policy (recruitment in conjunction with Branch Manager, on the job training and development (identify areas of development and coordinate training interventions), leave management, performance management, labor relations (disciplinary actions/poor performance), retention and recognition.

- Manage team member rosters/schedules taking into account busy periods, events and operational requirements.
- Guest Service
- Ensure to provide good guest service by being friendly, helpful, polite and courteous at all times.
- Pro-actively address guest complaints and ensure guest feedback is positive.
- Build strong relationships with regular guests.
- Ensure team members are dressed in their appropriate Hollywood uniform.
- Create a guest centric culture within the branch and drive the philosophy of “service with a smile” at all times.
