The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for managing an effective and efficient operation of the financial planning, analysis, reporting and accounting function. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager supports management, especially the Controller, in decision making regarding Finance & Control and Business matters, with investigations, analyses, reports, presentations and advice.

He/She performs economic research and analysis for use in the development of business strategies and tactics and in the subsequent appraisal of the results. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager may also prepare statistical studies (economic and financial) and forecasts for business conditions and trends and draws relevant conclusions. Additionally, provides the business management with accurate and reliable internal financial information and external financial statements regarding the performance and the valuation of the business for various stakeholders.

Job Description: The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for the financial planning and forecasts submissions in accordance with Nutreco's accounting policies and procedures and supports decision making from a financial perspective analyzing in a wide variety of business processes from various perspectives, such as costs, revenues, profitability etc. and assists in preparing proposals regarding CAPEX projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting: Manages planning, budgeting, and forecasting; creates variance analysis reports and financial models; leads real-time performance monitoring; escalates issues; sets KPIs; completes market research and analysis; prepares monthly reports; collaborates with senior accounting/finance teams; prepares ad-hoc analysis.
  • Data collection and insight generation: Uses data to identify problems and opportunities; collects and analyses data; visualizes insights for business use.
  • Advice: Advises colleagues on data and insights; acts as liaison with managers; presents possible solutions.
  • Planning & Control cycle: Supports planning and budgeting cycles; participates in financial reviews; prepares management information and annual financial reports.
  • Market Developments / Investments: Analyzes market developments; evaluates CAPEX and other major financial events; prepares notes and presentations.
  • Analysis / Analytics: Conducts complex analysis; supports cost/valuation/pricing decisions; conducts special studies.
  • Compliance / Governance / Audits: Ensures compliance with policies and accounting standards; supports audits.
