A leading mining company is offering an internship for two BCom Management Accounting graduates at Kookfontein Mine near Rustenburg. The role involves supporting the Site Management Accountant with financial functions, preparing reports, and monitoring operational costs. Candidates should possess strong analytical and communication skills, and ideally have experience in a dynamic, remote environment. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• BCom Management Accounting Degree is required.
• Experience in a fast-paced, remote site environment is a plus.
• Valid Driver's licence and medically fit.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Management Accountant in performing financial functions.
• Prepare and analyse daily diesel consumption.
• Compile and submit monthly production and stock reports.
• Prepare cost variance reports and identify areas of concern.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Management Accountant in performing the following functions.
• Prepare and analyse daily diesel consumption.
• Compile, analyse and submit monthly production and stock reports.
• Prepare cost variance reports and identify any areas of concern or excessive expenditure.
• Monitor operational costs on site, planned costs, machinery usage and hours and mining activity costs.

Qualifications

BCom Management Accounting Degree.

Skills: Adaptable, resilient, strong attention to detail, strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, remote site environment.
