Bar Manager Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar at SPYCED Restaurant in Cape Town.
- Manage bar staff including hiring, training and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain beverage programs to ensure quality and profitability.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests by providing exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns and complaints in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and management team to enhance overall dining experience.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of beverage trends and mixology.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Experience
- Prior experience in a high-end or luxury dining establishment.
- Familiarity with local and international cocktails and spirits.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Knowledge of Cape Towns culinary scene and culture.
- Experience working in a diverse and dynamic restaurant environment.
Salary & Benefits
The salary for the Bar Manager position at SPYCED Restaurant in Cape Town is competitive and will be provided on an annual basis in Rand (R - South Africa).
