Job Description
  • Liaise with clients to understand event requirements and preferences
  • Act as the main point of contact from booking through event execution
  • Prepare event proposals, contracts, invoices, and detailed function sheets
  • Conduct site visits and venue show-arounds
  • Coordinate with kitchen, service, and operations teams to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Manage client queries, special requests, and last-minute changes professionally
  • Maintain accurate event records, budgets, and documentation
  • Distribute function sheets and communicate key event details to relevant departments
  • Support Food & Beverage operations with duty manager duties when required
  • Build strong guest relationships and handle complaints promptly and professionally
  • Perform general administrative and operational duties as needed
Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Banqueting Coordinator or similar role (e.g., Food & Beverage Supervisor / Junior Supervisor)
  • Excellent communication skills, strong telephone and email etiquette
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event management systems beneficial (Opera Cloud & Micros Symphony preferred)
  • Own transport advantageous
