Overview
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Bank Manager is accountable for the development, leadership, and performance of our Wanaka branch.
Responsible for forging and nurturing key relationships both internally and externally to ensure our ongoing business and customer success. The role focuses on enriching the Westpac brand and contributing to our commitment and transforming how we connect with our customers and the community.
Responsibilities
- Inspire and lead a diverse team of Banking Specialists and Customer Service Representatives to meet customer needs across personal banking, business banking and wealth management.
- Develop, lead, and manage the performance of the Wanaka branch.
- Forge and nurture key internal and external relationships to support business and customer success.
- Contribute to the transformation of customer experience across spaces, technology, and capabilities.
Qualifications
- Proven recent experience as a successful Bank Manager, leader and lender.
- Highly developed interpersonal, networking and communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Deep understanding and experience in Consumer lending.
- Understanding of foundational Business lending (preferred).
- FA qualification desired.
- Demonstrated experience in leading change.
- Commitment to and demonstrated coaching ability.
- Solid understanding of the local area (desired).
- Business tertiary qualification preferred.
