As a Bank Coordinator at our OOH service, you'll be a single point of contact and liaison for all members of this multidisciplinary team, as well as other internal and external services.
You’ll provide coordination and support to ensure the smooth running of shifts – and respond swiftly and efficiently if there's any breakdown in the service.
This could include making comfort / safety calls to patients when required.
This is a Bank role that enables you to choose to accept the shifts you want.
However, to support our Out Of Hours services, we will expect you to be available to work around 15 hours a week, across evenings and weekends.
Oversee triage, home visits, and call volumes to meet DX Code targets and manage service flow.
Implement operational tactics like streaming, triage blitz, GP reallocation, and escalation when needed.
Monitor shift performance using call volume and staffing data; ensure all cases are processed with proper handover.
Maintain accurate logs including Coordinator Log, breach reports, manual calls, and system issues.
Ensure compliance with policies for comfort calling, fire safety, and disaster recovery procedures.
Lead and support Coordinator Assistants to ensure smooth shift operations and adequate coverage.
Experience within an Administration role, preferably within a healthcare setting
Proven experience coordinating appointments, staff members and / or rotas
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good telephone manner
Ability to work within an Out of Hours service; evenings, nights and weekends
