A respected client is seeking a Bank and Cash Manager to oversee cash flow, banking processes, and financial controls across a large group structure. This role is ideal for a detail-orientated finance professional who excels in analysis, stakeholder management, team leadership, and ensuring the company’s cash resources are managed with accuracy, efficiency and integrity.
Key Duties
- Cash Management
- Manage group cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available across all accounts
- Analyse cash balances and perform forecasts for operational expenses
- Recommend investment or disinvestment decisions and prepare supporting documentation
- Perform intercompany transfers and monitor suspicious transactions
- Track and report bank charges across all accounts
- Accounting
- Oversee daily processing of cashbook transactions
- Capture bank charges, interests, SARS payments, commissions and manual payments
- Process Accounts Receivable items, including rejections and refunds
- Review intercompany transfers and loan repayments
- Monitor AR, AP and GL postings across multiple departments
- Review weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Process online credit card payments
- Administration
- Administer the online banking profile and manage user access
- Open and close bank accounts as required
- Manage e-wallet card administration and petty cash reconciliations
- Analyse unallocated items and liaise with relevant teams
- Facilitate annual forex control licence renewal
- Update bank signatory mandates and manage credit card issues
- Support system testing for finance-related projects
- Resolve banking issues across the group
- Prepare and submit Treasury reports
- Team Management
- Oversee and support daily team operations
- Conduct performance reviews and set KPAs
- Coach and develop team members
- Ensure effective performance management and collaborative working
- Compliance
- Ensure adherence to standards, regulations and company policies
- Monitor and report cash deposits for AML requirements
- Submit periodical compliance and month-end reports
Requirements
- NQF Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Finance (minimum)
- NQF Level 7 Degree in Finance advantageous
- 3–5 years’ experience within a finance environment
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong planning, decision-making and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong communication and time-management abilities
