Position Overview

The Bakery Manager will oversee the daily operations of the in-store bakery, ensuring consistent product quality, efficient production, and excellent customer service. This role requires a balance of hands‑on baking expertise, operational leadership, and strong people management skills. The ideal candidate will drive sales growth while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations & Production
    • Plan, organize, and supervise daily bakery production schedules.
    • Ensure consistent product quality, freshness, and availability.
    • Manage inventory levels, including ordering raw materials and minimizing wastage.
    • Implement and maintain bakery recipes, processes, and presentation standards.
  • Staff Leadership
    • Recruit, train, and manage bakery team members.
    • Create staff schedules to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure friendly, efficient, and professional service at all times.
    • Address customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly.
    • Promote and upsell bakery items to boost sales.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Enforce compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
    • Maintain a clean and safe bakery environment.
    • Conduct regular checks and audits to meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Financial Performance
    • Monitor and control bakery costs, including labor, ingredients, and overheads.
    • Work towards achieving sales targets and profitability goals.
    • Generate daily / weekly / monthly reports on bakery performance.
Requirements
