Office Location: Rosebank Mall Offices, 4th Floor, 11 Cradock Ave, Johannesburg 2196, South Africa

The role:

The Backend Software Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services for supporting our web applications. The product you will be supporting is developed with a .NET backend and relies heavily on integrations with MS Dynamics 365. You will work with the lead developer to refactor much of the solution into a cloud-native application.

You’ll participate in defining problems and solutions with a diverse group of developers, designers, and business owners worldwide.

• Develop based on defined requirements and architectural plans
• Support and maintain a .NET API
• Review system errors to identify and fix defects
• Collaborate with teams within the business and IT to ensure interoperability with other applications

The team:

The Fragomen Global Development Lab (GDL) is an innovation group within Fragomen focused on developing technology solutions for business travel, mobility, and cross-border employment compliance.

What we are looking for:

• Experience working in a remote agile team
• Experience with .NET REST API development, preferably with AOT familiarity
• Ability to develop using FAST principles with robust unit testing
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Preferred experience with AWS cloud-native development using Lambdas and Serverless Framework
