Placements24, for a leading technology solutions provider in Midrand, Gauteng, seeks an Apprentice Software Developer to join a backend team. This role offers hands-on experience building server-side applications under experienced mentors.

The apprenticeship follows a hybrid model with office days in Midrand and remote flexibility, exposing you to modern development practices, agile workflows, and real projects that may lead to full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Node.js).
• Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Basic knowledge of Git.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to adhere to hybrid work schedule in Midrand, Gauteng.
• Completed or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with senior developers to understand project requirements and technical specifications.
• Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and identify areas for improvement.
• Help develop and maintain database schemas and queries.
