Job description

We’re looking for a dynamic Telesales Team Leader to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing telesales team in a fast-paced contact center. Drive sales, coach talent, and shape a motivated team that consistently achieves outstanding sales performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leadership & Performance:

    • Lead, motivate, and guide the telesales team to achieve targets and KPIs.
    • Monitor performance and implement strategies for improvement.

    Coaching & Development:

    • Identify skill gaps and provide training, mentoring, and coaching.
    • Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and growth.

    Operations & Compliance:

    • Manage attendance, engagement, and adherence to company policies.
    • Oversee team wellness and maintain morale.
    • Ensure compliance with sales processes and operational standards.

    Performance Support:

    • Conduct performance assessments and implement corrective actions.
    • Support disciplinary processes when necessary.

    Customer & Sales Management:

    • Guide the team through the sales process and ensure quality client interactions.
    • Handle escalated client queries professionally.
    • Develop strategies to increase conversion rates and sales performance.

    Reporting & Collaboration:

    • Prepare accurate performance reports and sales forecasts.
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
  • Minimum 18 months’ experience as a Telesales Team Leader in a telecommunications call centre
  • Proven success in leading high-performing sales teams
  • Strong understanding of B2B telecommunications sales (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in sales reporting and performance analysis
