Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Regulatory Compliance Specialist for a growing aviation services company based in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role ensures operations meet SACAA and ICAO standards, with oversight of audits, reporting, and regulatory liaison.

The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing on-site engagement and remote analysis and reporting, and provides opportunities to strengthen compliance processes and staff training across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in aviation regulatory affairs, compliance, or safety management.
• In-depth knowledge of SACAA regulations and international aviation standards (e.g., ICAO).
• Experience conducting compliance audits and developing corrective action plans.
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory text.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret aviation regulations, airworthiness directives, and industry standards relevant to the company's operations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to verify adherence to regulations and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory bodies.
• Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory authorities during inspections and inquiries.
• Advise management and operational teams on compliance requirements and potential risks.
• Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, training, and documentation.
• Develop and deliver training on regulatory compliance matters to relevant staff.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices in aviation regulation and compliance management.
• Participate in risk management activities related to regulatory compliance.
