Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a junior Aircraft Quality Inspector to join the Pretoria maintenance team. This entry-level role focuses on learning quality assurance, inspecting parts and work, and ensuring compliance with standards.

You will gain hands-on experience under experienced mentors and contribute to maintaining regulatory compliance. You will work on-site, review maintenance records, and support the Quality Management System while developing practical aviation inspection skills for future

Qualifications

• A relevant technical qualification in Aviation or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of aircraft maintenance principles and quality control processes.
• Familiarity with technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic aviation environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of aircraft parts, components, and completed maintenance work to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Review maintenance records, documentation, and work orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and document non-conformities, deviations, and potential quality issues, reporting them to senior inspectors.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection and measurement equipment.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge of aircraft systems and quality control procedures.
