About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and meticulous Aviation Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality control and assurance processes at their East London, Eastern Cape facility. This critical role ensures that all aviation operations, maintenance, and related activities meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aviation regulations, quality management systems (QMS), and a proven track record in implementing and managing robust QA programs. You will lead a team of QA professionals, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance the company's reputation for quality and reliability. This position is fundamental to maintaining airworthiness and operational integrity within the East London aviation hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with aviation regulations.
• Oversee all quality assurance activities, including inspections, audits, and process reviews.
• Ensure compliance with relevant national and international aviation standards and regulations.
• Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, assigning responsibilities and monitoring performance.
• Conduct internal audits of operational processes, maintenance procedures, and documentation.
• Identify non-conformities, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage external audits conducted by regulatory bodies and clients.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive quality reports for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the aviation industry.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (SACAA, EASA, FAA) and quality management principles (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing QMS and conducting audits.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
