Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Quality Assurance Inspector for our Paarl, Western Cape facility. You will rigorously inspect aircraft, components, and maintenance work to ensure compliance with SACAA, EASA, FAA, and ISO 9001/AS9100 data and manuals.

This on-site role requires meticulous attention to detail and independent judgment to uphold safety and airworthiness. You will conduct audits, review documentation, investigate deficiencies, and participate in regulatory inspections,

Qualifications

• Certification as aviation maintenance technician (AME or FAA A&P) required.
• Minimum 5 years in aviation maintenance or QA.
• Strong knowledge of regulations and ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a reputable maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility in the aviation sector, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Aviation Quality Assurance Inspector to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape. This role is essential for ensuring that all maintenance activities and repairs performed on aircraft comply with stringent regulatory standards, manufacturer specifications, and internal quality policies. The QA Inspector will conduct thorough inspections, audits, and documentation reviews to uphold the highest levels of safety and airworthiness. This is a critical on-site position demanding your full attention and presence at our Paarl facility. Your dedication to quality will directly contribute to the safety and reliability of aircraft operations within the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aircraft, components, and maintenance work performed.
• Verify that all maintenance actions comply with approved data, technical manuals, and airworthiness directives.
• Conduct audits of the quality management system, including maintenance records, tooling, and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA).
• Investigate quality deficiencies, non-conformances, and customer complaints, recommending and tracking corrective actions.
• Review and approve maintenance documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain inspection records and quality reports as required.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and audits conducted by external authorities.
• Promote a strong quality and safety culture throughout the organization.
• Stay updated on relevant aviation regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

• Recognized aviation maintenance technician certification (e.g., AME, FAA Airframe & Powerplant).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance or quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100), and inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with aircraft systems and maintenance processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
