Job summary

Swift Human Resources in Strand, Western Cape, is seeking a hands-on Storeroom Manager to oversee daily storeroom and warehouse operations for automotive parts. You will manage receiving, picking, dispatch, and stock control to ensure availability while minimising excess inventory.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric is required.
• 46 years stock control experience specifically within the automotive parts industry.
• Experience managing storeroom/warehouse in automotive parts.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts inventory and stock control.
• Experience with min/max stock levels, replenishment and cycle counts.
• Supervise warehouse staff and delivery drivers.
• Experience with warehouse/inventory management systems.
• Valid driver’s licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the storeroom and warehouse.
• Oversee the receiving, storage, picking and dispatch of automotive parts.
• Maintain accurate minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Ensure product availability while minimising excess inventory.
• Conduct cycle counts and stock takes.
• Investigate and resolve stock variances.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through stock-control processes.
• Supervise warehouse staff and delivery drivers.
• Coordinate supplier deliveries and ensure timely receipt of stock.
• Manage stock replenishment requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and warehouse best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
