About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Automotive Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality for vehicles produced at their facility in Kimberley . This role is critical in identifying and documenting any defects or deviations from quality specifications before vehicles reach the customer. You will perform detailed visual inspections, conduct functional checks, and work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues promptly. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicles for cosmetic and structural defects, such as paint flaws, panel gaps, and interior imperfections.
• Perform functional checks on various vehicle systems, including lighting, electronics, powertrain, and safety features.
• Document all identified defects and non-conformities accurately using the company's quality management system.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to understand root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all vehicles meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements before release.
• Operate and interpret measurement tools and gauges as required for specific inspection tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, ensuring proper handling of vehicles during the inspection process.
• Provide feedback to production teams on quality trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Quality Inspector or in a similar quality control role within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle defects.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
