Job summary

You will work under a journeyman to repair and service vehicles, learn parts ordering, and follow factory standards. The role demands a Grade 12 with maths, a valid driver's license, and good communication in English.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent with mathematics; technical matric is preferred.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Good verbal and written English.
• Clean criminal record.
• Interest in automotive/mechanical trades.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repair and servicing of vehicles to OEM standards.
• With journeyman, determine parts needed for service.
• Get authorization before extra work.
• Obtain technical information from journeyman.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and workshop policies.
• Record work performed on repair orders.
• Handle parts and oils as per process.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy workshop.
• Carry out ad hoc duties as required.
