3 Hands Europe is seeking a skilled Master Technician for LCVs in Gauteng to diagnose, repair, and maintain modern commercial vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment.

This role requires strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills and a commitment to high-quality workmanship, safety, and meticulous attention to detail. You will mentor junior technicians and ensure work meets manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Automotive Technician or equivalent trade qualification.
• 5+ years' experience working on Commercial Vehicles.
• Senior/Master Technician experience desirable.
• Manufacturer certification from MAN or Volkswagen advantageous.
• Valid driver's license (commercial license advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults on commercial vehicles.
• Perform servicing, preventative maintenance, and major repairs.
• Carry out engine, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and braking system repairs.
• Diagnose and repair CAN Bus, ECU, and vehicle network faults.
• Perform software updates, coding, calibration, and programming using OEM diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct inspections and identify potential mechanical or safety concerns.
• Complete warranty and technical documentation accurately.
• Support and mentor junior technicians where required.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and workshop safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

We are seeking an experienced Master Technician with extensive expertise in LCV/Vans. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining modern commercial vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment while ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults on commercial vehicles.
• Perform servicing, preventative maintenance, and major repairs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Automotive Technician or equivalent recognized trade qualification.
• 5+ years' experience working on Commercial Vehicles.
• Previous experience as a Senior Technician or Master Technician is highly desirable.
• Manufacturer certification from MAN or Volkswagen is advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence (commercial licence advantageous).
