Responsibilities include inspecting engines, electrical systems, CAN networks, and transmissions; interpreting service data; and communicating repair plans and costs to customers. Maintain high quality and stay current with evolving automotive technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Automotive Diagnostic Technician or similar role.
• Strong ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues across systems.
• Proficiency with advanced diagnostic software and hardware including oscilloscopes and multimeters.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive diagnostic inspections on vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults. Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and multimeters to pinpoint the root cause of issues. Interpret diagnostic data, technical service bulletins, and repair manuals to guide troubleshooting efforts. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. Perform complex repairs and component replacements as required, adhering to manufacturer specifications. Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and estimated costs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper care of tools and equipment. Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques through ongoing training. Ensure all repairs are performed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Document all diagnostic procedures, repair actions, and parts used accurately in the service management system.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician or similar role. Strong expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex issues across various vehicle systems. Proficiency with advanced diagnostic software and hardware, including oscilloscopes and multi-meters. Excellent understanding of vehicle electronics, engine management systems, and CAN bus networks. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, Manufacturer specific) are highly desirable. A valid driver's license is required. Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays, as needed.
