Job summary

A leading agricultural management company in Mbombela is seeking a qualified Millwright or Electrician. The role demands at least two years of hands-on maintenance experience, knowledge of refrigeration and packhouse work is advantageous. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled maintenance activities to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults in pneumatic and conveyor systems.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and retrofit mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Ensure work adheres to safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate service logs and repair reports.
  • Install, dismantle, and align industrial machinery.
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing to prevent failures.
  • Troubleshoot and program PLCs, VFDs, and HMI interfaces.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS
  • Execute scheduled maintenance activities to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life span
  • Diagnose mechanical faults in pneumatic and conveyor systems; perform timely repairs to restore production
  • Fabricate, assemble, and retrofit mechanical / electrical systems to improve plant efficiency to meet evolving production needs.
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, lockout / tagout procedures, and local industrial regulations.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, repair reports, and parts inventories for machinery and tools.
  • Install, dismantle, and precisely align industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing to prevent system failures and ensure consistent operation.
  • Troubleshoot and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and HMI interfaces.
  • Ensure that work performed is to the highest standards.
