Job summary

A leading steel processing operation is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Technician in Saldanha, Western Cape. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing electrical and automation systems while ensuring high-performance machinery operates efficiently. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in Siemens S5/S7 PLCs, a background in engineering/manufacturing, and be self-motivated. A valid driver's license and willingness to relocate to the West Coast if required are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ post-S4 experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with Siemens S5/S7 PLCs and Siemens Master Drives.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical and electronic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on electrical and electronic systems.
• Install and upgrade electrical systems.
• Program, fault-find and optimize Siemens S5/S7 PLCs.
