Job summary

Motus Toyota Parktown offers an Apprentice Level 1 position reporting to the Manager: Service. The apprentice will learn vehicle repair under supervision, remove and fit parts, jack up cars, and perform routine maintenance tasks.

The role requires Grade 12 with Pure Math and Physical Science, with Technical Matric preferred; a driver’s license is advantageous and a clean criminal record is essential. Training is for up to three years.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Pure Math and Physical Science is required.
• Technical Matric is preferred.
• A valid Driver’s License is an added advantage.
• Must have a clear Criminal Record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repair of vehicles under supervision.
• Remove/replace parts and units from vehicles.
• Jack up vehicles and place trestles.
• Lubricate and change oils under supervision.
• Remove and replace wheels and filters.
• Assist with all vehicle repairs and batteries.
• Keep tools and area clean and well-organised.
• Attend prescribed technical/level courses.
• Follow safety rules and keep area clean.
